Guided Mountain Bike Tours
Whether new to mountain biking or a seasoned pro, Pagosa Mountain Sports has a tour for you. From wide lanes cutting through open meadows with beautiful mountain views to rolling single track through quiet forests full of Ponderosa pine and aspens, our tours have it all!
Through Forest Service special use permits, Pagosa Mountain Sports offers half day, full day and private mountain bike tours within the beautiful San Juan National Forest.

Tour = Guided mountain biking through single track, double track and/or gravel road depending on the tour location
Skills Clinic = Instructors review and demonstrate mountain biking skills stopping at appropriate spots on single track, double track and/or gravel road
Green = Tour has little ascending or technical terrain
Blue = Tour has some elevation gain and/or technical terrain
Gravity = Tour terrain descends with few if any ascensions
Cross Country = Tour terrain ascends and descends regularly
(Per person. Time includes check-in, if applicable travel time and check-out.)
Half Day = Three to four hours = $50
Full Day = Four to six hours = $80
Private 2 Hour = $60; 3 Hour = $90
Clinic = 2 Hour = $30
Tour/Clinic pricing does not include a bike. Bikes can be rented from Pagosa Mountain Sports for an additional fee. Please be sure to reserve a bike at the time of booking to ensure availability.

Depending on the tour/clinic, participants meet at the tour start time at either the trailhead or at Pagosa Mountain Sports for transportation to the trailhead. If meeting at the shop, please utilize the free street parking.
. Correctly sized bike and helmet
. Small backpack or hip pack
. 1-2 Liters of water
. Snacks – nuts, granola bars, apples, energy chews, etc.
. Appropriate shoes – Flat or cleated biking shoes or flat, closed-toed athletic shoes (tennis shoes, Keens, etc.)
. Bike gloves (optional)
General Tour Information
All participants must be able to confidently balance, pedal, brake and change gears on a mountain bike. Adult XXS is the smallest bike permitted on tours.
Before heading out for the tour/clinic, the guides will do a gear review with all participants. The guides will also review the terrain and schedule.
Tour/clinic will have a minimum of 4 and maximum of 13 participants unless approved.
If tour/clinic is cancelled due to poor weather, trail conditions or low participation, reservations and bike rentals will be fully refunded.
All participants must sign a waiver or if under 18 years of age, have a parent or guardian sign for them.
